My experience
Overview
I designed a simulation to investigate lunar lighting and surface temperatures for the year of 2030. The simulation was built from scratch with a basic UI for camera controls and simulation run timespans.

How did working remote affect your experience?
The teams at the Kennedy Space center were VERY accommodating to virtual interns. There were events like jeopardy or family feud people could do online and I met several amazing interns.

They just asked basic behavioral interview questions. They also ask you to talk briefly about the technology you list on your resume.
Advice on how to prepare
Network network network! The people at the Kennedy space center are some of the most driven and friendly people anywhere. I would recommend meeting as many as possible. Plus my second internship here was given to me because I accidentally met another intern's mentor.
