streamlined the hardware asset creation process

It was great! had a great time with the intern program

Worked on various product that use ServiceNow's UI Builder.

I built a form for ServiceNow users to submit on the main website that basically consolidated 7 other forms. Both the frontend and backend, along with the workflow for the lifecycle of the form were created and configured by myself

It was more difficult to network but somehow easier to be productive on most days.

I implemented a tracking system for the Customer Workflow Team's workspace UI components and workflows.

I worked on implementing front-end UI and back-end processing for a new feature that improves customer experience when upgrading their ServiceNow platform

Worked on upgrade regression testing for our platform upgrades

Wrote a command line tool for database administrator-type folks to help them move data around. 

Made it difficult to feel like I was part of a team.

It was a little isolating but we had intern events that made me feel more connected to everyone

- Automated manual test cases using Javascript and Testcafe library
- Created a framework to speed up certain tests (60% reduction in total test run time) 
- Manual testing of new releases/patches 

While it made connecting with other interns and teammates harder, I do feel that remote work was better for work-life balance. I could choose more flexible hours, skip the hassle of relocation and commute, and get other chores done while waiting for code to compile.

I converted test cases from pure Javascript to use ServiceNow's platform and I am working on a small widget. 

Made time management a lot more easier since I was home the entire time, but I prefer to have been in the office.

Platform for creating internal company sites with website builder.

I worked on the a test coverage project that aimed to increase the test coverage percentage of existing code through automated test cases. Doing so would allow the Quality Assurance team to increase the quality of testing for our products. The priority is to automate existing code and bring the test coverage percentage up to 80%. 

Being virtual made it harder to interact with other interns and meet more ServiceNow employees. However, the Early In Career team planned amazing events and gave us a great virtual experience with the best activities. 

Wrote a REST API to automate source control operations in the ServiceNow platforms.

Typical issues with being remote, obviously can't interact with team and other interns as much, collaboration is a little bit harder, etc. ServiceNow tried hard to give interns opportunities to talk to other interns though.

Manual and Automated Testing for a Store App Product on the HR Team 

Despite being remote, they still had a lot of intern events and ways for interns to connect with each other

Although an in-person internship would have been most ideal, ServiceNow went above and beyond to make the experience exceptional for hundreds of us interns. Having multiple events planned each week with a wide variety of learning activities and speaker series, I came into each week with excitement and an eagerness to learn.

Worked on a tool that would display health metrics for Flow Designer (one of the features on the Now Platform) and allow users to see where potential errors can occur

It was as good as remote can be. many intern events, virtual kickbacks, etc

Worked directly with the team on a project for deidentifying and privatizing data stored on customer ServiceNow instances. I got to decide some of the data flow in regards to the actual deidentifying and developed Java code for privatizing data.

ServiceNow made it really easy to work remote. They had dedicated teams for remote issues, and managers worked around time zone conflicts. Also gave a stipend for home office setup and housing stipend, even though it was remote. Only downside was not being able to attend as many intern events and connecting with teammates - there was a 3 hour time difference between where I was and where my team was located.

- Worked on Bash Agent install script that allows customers to save their new data to their configuration file when upgrading
- Designed automated tests for the Agent Client Collector using JUnit
- Creating scripts using JavaScript and SQL queries to add to ServiceNow’s Data Analysis Reports

They made it super easy to work remote, offered a work at home stipend as well as shipping us a lot of fun stuff for internship events
