My experience

Overview

I worked on adding new UI features to a company product, along with corresponding APIs to modify and create them. A lot of my work was in prototyping and taking ideas from Visual Designers and bringing them to working software.

I learned a ton and the company culture is amazing; people at Mathworks really want interns to do meaningful work and will help you succeed.

Would recommend it to people who...

Enjoy large scale application development and can easily work with cross-functional teams

Would NOT recommend it to people who...

Like to work alone or on a variety of projects/small assignments

How did working remote affect your experience?

Company did a good job of holding events/happy hours to make people still feel connected during the experience. Company will definitely go back to normal after Covid, with maybe some optional work from home.
