My experience

Overview

Got to work, read the company newspaper, would work on a project for 2-3 hours. Would talk to operations staff at the small plant where I worked, shoot the bull, etc. Went on site walkthroughs every morning, would sometimes go verify proper signal transmission from the plant. Started a data registry system because of the free time.||Honestly, there was a lot of free time in this internship. I taught myself a year's worth of a non-latin-alphabet language from scratch during the internship, because there was so little to do and my boss didn't mind. ||This was largely due to being a field posting. I've heard that corporate interns get better work/treatment.

Would recommend it to people who...

Want to work in chemical manufacturing, or who want a foot in the door with larger companies that Air Products services (Shell, Exxon, BASF, etc.)

Would NOT recommend it to people who...

Want to work on the innovation side.

Advice on how to prepare

On campus career fair. Air Products is always in the business of buying and selling parts of the company. Stay up to date on those sales and bring them up in the interview to score extra points.
