My experience
Overview
I was in charge of creating a Virtual Reality environment recreating the prototype assembly line for use in planning out builds. I also used VR to help marketing decide which parts to use on a product to increase visual appeal. Using CATIA, I designed a jack system to increase the ergonomics of a testing rig. I also led the co-ops in designing two patentable products for Electrolux over the course of the semester.
Make sure to try out Los Hermanos for lunch. It looks a little seedy, but it's the best. Make sure you get lunch at both Corner Bagel Deli and JC's

Have a broad set of interests and like to work on multiple projects at once and are interested in possibly getting a patent
Would NOT recommend it to people who...
Cannot be at work at 7 am in rare cases or people who have no interest in learning new programs on their own

Advice on how to prepare
Make sure you have experience working with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks or CATIA. Most positions will make heavy use of it.
