My experience

Overview

I had three projects throughout the summer. The first was outside my team where I was in charge of ideating merchandise for Food Trucks. This project led me to interact with a multitude of departments that I never thought I would work with and learn from. My other two project were within my team where I enhanced our internal web page with better resources based on feedback and data I gathered. The second project was more logistical and I worked with meeting and events to plan off-site retreats for our team.

Pros

Intentional company and staff, they truly care for all employees. I had the opportunity to network with a ton of staff members, everyone always made time for interns. They truly want your opinion and insight on the projects and meetings you sit in. The pay is generous.

Cons

When working on projects it is a long process and it is difficult to get things done quickly when working with other departments. Chick-fil-A shows a lot of care in the projects they work on and that is why executing projects take awhile.

Would recommend it to people who...

I would recommend Chick-fil-A to people who are eager to learn, aspire to be servant leaders, want to work for companies that truly value their employees, have strong teamwork skills, and are not afraid to say no.

How did working remote affect your experience?

Working remotely is difficult. I often found it hard to stay connected and motivated. However, remote work pushed me to become more intentional with my networking.

Interview questions

Questions consisted of examples of a time where you were a leader, examples of projects you have done, questions asking about how your values could align with Chick-fil-A's.

Advice on how to prepare

To get this internship, you should have a sound understanding of past projects you have worked on in school, organizations, or another internship and any challenges or successes you had, what you believe made you successful as a leader, and to know what areas you could improve in. Chick-fil-A is a competitive internship and outside of projects and leadership roles they value high GPA's and community involvement.
