Overview

Broke in new customer accounts. Reached out to a set list of customers and became their field apps. engineer for a summer. Helped connect customers to internal specialists within TI who knew much more than I did.

As a whole, this was a great internship. I couldn't have asked for better, especially given that it was during covid times. HR made sure every intern got the tools they needed to complete their internship from home, which was no small task, and we were even allowed to keep our housing stipend. I got the impression TI really cares about their employees. This internship was the only one I've had that has forced me out of my comfort zone, having to randomly email and even call customers (as an intern!), but I grew a lot because of it. It was super cool getting to have a real impact, but wow was it busy. There was always something to do, someone to email back, or a presentation to attend. Make sure you're good at multitasking if you're looking at the FAE role.

Would recommend it to people who...

Are outgoing, not afraid of social interaction, and are quick to learn

Would NOT recommend it to people who...

Introverted, get overwhelmed easily
