My experience
Overview
Basically ensuring the construction equipment was healthy to minimize downtime. Worked on a jobsite meaning 50-60 hr weeks, but easily could ask for Saturdays off and time off in general. Consisted of Ordering parts, picking up parts, On hiring equipment, inspections, and the last three hours every day devoted to getting hands on and working on the machines.
Pros
Good balance of office and field, pay with overtime very nice, very nice apartment provided.
Cons
On a jobsite (can sometimes mean you're in the middle of nowhere)
Impact of work
Time spent working
