My experience

Overview

Was working on various projects in python evaluating player analysis. Did a lot of different things but mostly related to, if a possible signing came up, what information can we provide to the decision makers to say either sign or don't sign that player.

When I was there, it was essentially working on projects eight hours a day and you only communicated with your boss once you completed a project or you had a question. Not sure how it is now, but can be very isolating if it is still the same way. Otherwise, learned a lot about coding which has helped me to where I'm at now

Would recommend it to people who...

Are very interested in data analytics. The boss has changed since I was there but have heard he is even more technical and looking for people who want to get to the "nitty-gritty" and front-line of analysis

Interview advice

How did you find the job / apply?

Interview Rounds

Interview type

Interview questions

The first interview was informal, just asking about background and relevant experience. The second one was more of figuring out technical skills and capabilities, especially around soccer statistics. If you have a base in statistics and coding, you can blow them out of the water

Advice on how to prepare

Having a basis in coding helps immensely. Even if you don't know python, having an understanding of how coding works will let you excel and impress your bosses.
