My experience
Overview
Developed infrastructure monitoring dashboard for the IT Infrastructure team. Accomplished this by writing scripts to collect data from vCenter, aggregate it into a dataset, and visualize it in Microsoft Power BI. A basic ETL application. Final product used in production by management to oversee utilization.
The company was very welcoming and my manager was super supportive, especially in my professional growth. The intern program was fairly structured which allowed for definite activities on a schedule to keep you engaged. Lots of opportunities to try something new, and definitely have a say in what you want to explore while you are there if you ask the right questions.
