My experience

Overview

Worked on a radiation hardened power PCB for a stack up for deep space exploration. Needed to understand SEE & TID conditions and design from start to testing. [This internship took place at Johnson Space Center.

Got to tour many buildings, simulators, see mission control, etc. Very rewarding work.

Pros

Full control of the design other than company standards/board stackup requirements

Cons

Government work makes for slow time for procurement, hard to get things done sometimes
