My experience

Overview

1. Business Case Maturation for Technology projects relating to the iPads that the pilots use during flights 2. Internal Consulting-process improvement, dependency diagrams, process mapping, automations, etc.

Pros

The boss (Don Filer) is amazing & truly makes this experience worthwhile, challenging, fun, and developmental. He leads a book club & encourages you to network in other areas within the company. Also the flight benefits are extremely valuable & make the experience so fun

Cons

The pay is less than other companies with similar internships

Would recommend it to people who...

want to learn & be busy with work; want an introduction to consulting in a low-stakes environment & have an interest in process improvement & the intersection of business & technology

Impact of work

Time spent working

Interview questions

Lots of questions from Patrick Lencioni's "Ideal Team Player". Ex. Biggest career failure, most important career accomplishments, talk about someone who is better than you at something, describe your personality, how do you annoy people in your personal life, what kind of people annoy you most & how do you deal with them,

Advice on how to prepare

This team uses Agile project management methodology extensively & if you can take a class in Project Management methods, it will be super useful. Also, data visualization through dashboards is very helpful.
